Commercial Account Manager

Our Client in Markham is seeking a Presentable, professional motivated individual to join their commercial department.

Working with select Account Executives (“AE”), act as primary contact with clients for service issues and concerns during the life of the policy. Process all billings and maintain accounts receivable within  standards. Alert the AE and team to issues requiring action or communication with the client.

 Prepare Proposal of Insurance, Issue Binder, certificates for named insureds and cover letter. Review new policy received for accuracy, amend billing, and prepare cover letter for delivery

At prescribed schedule prior to renewal, complete loss ratios, prepare coverage checklist and update schedule of insurance in preparation for a Team meeting at which accounts are reviewed for possible re-marketing and to determine documents required for the pre-renewal visit.  If re-marketing, prepare client overview, and update incumbent insurer’s application incorporating new information from meetings

Prepare underwriting submission for presentation to alternative and incumbent markets.

Use Marketing Manager for complex issues and marketing challenges.

Once Account Executive has secured binding instructions and order has been placed, review policy received to ensure it conforms to binder and for continuity in wordings.

Review coverage forms, exclusions, conditions, and adequacy of limits, Review and prepare cover letter for delivery. Complete certificates and financing contracts within prescribed time frames


  • R.I.B.O. license required.
  • Minimum of 3 years P&C experience, with particular direct experience in commercial insurance.
  • Excellent computer skills expected and SigXp fluency an asset.
  • Second language skills are assets as well.
